I have awakened many mornings to the Rat-atat-tat of a gorgeous RedHeaded Woodpecker    These beauties of nature are always a joy to sight when birdwatching or just watching your bird feeder .  Memories from childhood in the ozark forests, thru my lifetime in the southwest and Texas filled my mind as I painted this great looking bird.
